The first Vespa scooter was designed in 1946 by aviation designer Corradino D'Ascanio at the request of the manager Piaggio company Enrico Piaggio. And at that instantly get popularity and good welcome by community and Italian domestic market. Later in the redesign by Corradino D'Ascanio in 1948 which resulted in a new Vespa 125cc model. The Vespa 1948 is a little different in the size of machine on the appeal of Vespa 1946, there was an increase in engine size to 125cc, has also been equipped with shock-absorber on the rear wheels to provide passenger comfort. Front wheel suspension has been modified with an arm mounted on the right wheel. Also, the engine casing is now open to top for provides easy access to the machine, as well as other mechanical parts of the propeller.
